05.05.2008 - Czech president signs local referendum amendment
The amendment preserves the valid conditions for the binding character of the referendum.
A decision will be binding only if at least one quarter of all eligible voters support it.
The opposition Social Democrats (CSSD) previously warned in the Chamber of Deputies that the new legislation does not deal with the situation where the local authority does not abide by the referendum result.
