Germany's Social Democrats Consider Left Party Deal ... has been approved by the region's parliament to head the new administration. The CDU lost its absolute majority in Hamburg in elections last February and agreed to form a coalition with the Greens in April, following protracted negotiations. The Greens have traditionally entered parliament coalitions with the left-of-centre Social Democrats. The two parties have never partnered before at such a high level.
