Middle East Quartet meet in London ... Nations has sharply criticised Burma's generals, saying its refusal to let in foreign aid workers was "unprecedented" in the history of humanitarian work. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is seeking talks with the junta's senior general, Than Shwe, to stress the need of acting quickly. The UN estimates that 1.5 million people are "severely affected" by Nargis that swept across central Burma last weekend.
