Thousands of Chinese troops in the country's south-western province of Sichuan are continuing their search for survivors following Monday's powerful earthquake.
China is airlifting troops and aid into areas near the epicentre that were cut off by torrential rain and landslides. At least 13,000 people have been confirmed killed by the 7.9 magnitude earthquake, but that figure is expected to rise sharply with thousands still trapped under rubble in numerous cities and towns.
