If Justice Minister Jiri Pospisil signs the decree the NSZ will be able to interfere in serious cases investigated by the police, the paper says.
For instance, in the case of Deputy Prime Minister Jiri Cunek whose prosecution for suspected corruption was halted last year the NSZ would not have had to intervene through a controversial replacement of the state attorney in charge of the case but would have been able to directly halt the prosecution, the paper says.
The new decree is to supplement and change the state attorney's offices' order of procedure.
Under it, the High State Attorney's Office would oversee the investigation of serious crimes such as murders, drug-related crimes, robberies, trafficking in people, corruption and Czech KDU-CSL head to release decision on halting his prosecution ...

Given the limited personnel, the office would select the cases, the paper says.
The decree is also designed to reinforce the staffs of the Prague High State Attorney's Office and the Olomouc, north Moravia, High State Attorney's Office by seven attorneys, and the Supreme State Attorney's Office by one.
The changes will require 5.5 million crowns.
The Justice Ministry declined to comment on the planned changes to Pravo, the daily writes.
