04.07.2008 - N. Korea says progress on nuke deal could be delayed

North Korea says it won't push ahead with an international deal to scrap its nuclear programme until negotiating partners fulfil their side of the bargain.

The Czech Republic news are represented by www.prague-pensions-hotels.com

The North Korean Foreign Ministry complained in a statement that while 80 percent of the main nuclear Yongbyon facility had been disabled, only 40 percent of the promised energy aid had been delivered. North Korea was promised the aid equivalent of 1 million tons of heavy fuel oil under a February 2007 deal with China, South Korea, Russia, Japan and the United States. Negotiating partners have acknowledged delays but said there were problems such as limited oil storage facilities.
