A court in Munich has sentenced two young men for an attack which provoked a heated national debate on youth crime in Germany.
Serkan Aksu and Spyridon L. were given sentences of 12 years and eight-and-a-half years respectively for attempted murder. The two men severely beat a 76-year old man last December on the Munich subway, after he told them they couldn't smoke there.
