The inspection proposed to accuse the police of a criminal offence, but a state attorney handed the case to the director of the anti-corruption police. Cunek, who is also local devlopment minister and senator, was suspected of having taken social benefits and housing contributions from the state in the 1990s while he deposited a total of 3.5 million crowns in banks at the same time.
