The Kurdistan Workers Party, or PKK, has so far also demanded that the Turkish military halt its operations in the Mount Ararat region, and has called on Germany to drop hostile policies towards the group. The PKK is listed by the European Union as a terrorist organisation and has been banned in Germany since 1993.
