Pilots at German airline CityLine, a Lufthansa's subsidiary, have gone on a 36-hour strike to underline their wage demands.
Pilots trade union Vereinigung Cockpit said the strike at CityLine, which offers around 400 flights per day, would end midday Friday. A Lufthansa spokesman said the impact of the strike was as yet unknown, but disruptions were expected.
