Separatist Kurdish rebels have claimed responsibility for a blast that cut a strategic oil pipeline in Turkey and helped push up global oil prices once again.
The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline in eastern Turkey, which brings Azeri oil from the Caspian Sea to the Mediterranean, has been on fire since Tuesday night and is expected to be closed for 15 days. The pipeline can pump slightly more than 1 million barrels per day.
