At least eight people have been killed and a number of others injured in several explosions and rocket fire in China's north-western Xinjiang province.
The official Xinhua news agency reported that seven attackers and one security guard died in the attack. The bombers are reported to have driven a tricycle laden with explosives into the yard of a police station in the city of Kuqa. This comes just days after an attack in another city in Xinjiang, Kashgar, which killed 16 police officers.
