In February, a high court acquitted her of murder charges, but the Supreme Court has cancelled the verdict and ordered new proceedings. Supreme State Attorney Renata Vesecka disagreed with the high court's verdict that stopped Brozova-Polednova's prosecution, saying the case was statute-barred. A court accepted Vesecka's view that Brozova-Polednova had played an active role in the five-member panel of prosecutors. Brozova-Polednova then complained against its decision.
