Afghan police say three aid workers of the International Rescue Committee (IRC) have been shot dead in an ambush in Afghanistan. The aid workers, all women, and their local driver were killed while travelling in their car in Logar province just south of Kabul.
Local authorities said the victims were citizens of Ireland, Canada and the United States. Police have been deployed to the area to track down the attackers. The Taliban have claimed responsibility for the attack.
