Fire in embassy could slow Burmese relief ... foreign ministry in Berlin has confirmed that two German engineers kidnapped five weeks ago in Nigeria have been released.
A ministry spokesman said that the two employees were doing fine under the circumstances. Nigeria's largest rebel group, the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, said it had freed the two men from another group. The two expatriate staff of a subsidiary of the German concern Bilfinger Berger were seized last month in the oil-rich Niger Delta by unidentified gunmen.
