The German Federal Labour Office has said that despite a slowing economy, unemployment in Germany should drop further in 2009. Labour office head Frank-Jürgen Weise told the "Financial Times Deutschland" that he also expected better numbers this year.
Weise based his positive expectations on demographics, pointing out that fewer workers would be in the labour market.
