Afghan and international troops have killed at least 30 militants in a clash near Kabul.
The US-led coalition said air support was called in after troops came under fire in Laghman province on Wednesday. Separately, the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force confirmed that three of its soldiers were killed when a bomb hit their vehicle in eastern Afghanistan. ISAF did not give the nationalities of the troops, but Polish news agencies said three Polish soldiers were killed.
