Hundreds of thousands of residents around the Caribbean are moving away from coastal areas as Hurricane Ike powers toward them.
Ike, which is graded as a category three storm, swept islands near the southern Bahamas on Sunday morning with winds up to 215 km per hour. It's now heading towards Cuba which is on high alert. Ike passed north of Haiti which is still dealing with the devastation of an earlier storm. Hanna left up to 600 dead and thousands without access to shelter and water.
