A suspected US missile strike has killed at least six people in Pakistan's restive North Waziristan region.
The attack reportedly targeted the house of a local Taleban commander. Security officials said a number of women and children were among the dead. Pakistan's north-western region, which borders on Afghanistan, is regarded as a safe haven for Taleban extremists and for the past year, the Pakistani military has been fighting an increasingly bloody insurgency there.
