Lisbon rewriting, EU enlargement impossible - French ambassador ... with the European Union under the Czech EU presidency already in the first half of next year, Topolanek who arrived for a two-day visit to Croatia today said.However, the condition for Zagreb is to start talks with Brussels on the remaining chapters by the end of this year, he said.At present, Croatia is still to open 12 chapters many of which concerning sensitive and complex issues, Topolanek said."It is remained to open 12 more chapters and it can be expected that they will be opened by the end of France's EU presidency," Topolanek said.Sanader confirmed that Croatia would do everything to meet this deadline.Topolanek also told journalists that the Czech Republic would ratify the treaty on Croatia's entry to NATO by the end of his year.The Czech Republic and Croatia are also interested in continuing economic cooperation and trade, he said, adding that was why he was accompanied on his visit by Industry and Trade Minister Martin Riman and representatives of Czech business circles.Topolanek is to hold talks with Croatian President Stipe Mesic later today.
