Serbia's parliament has voted in favour of a pact which sets it on the path to joining the European Union.
Parliamentarians voted 140 to 28 in support of an EU Stabilisation and Association Agreement, after some opposition nationalists split to vote with the government. The nationalist Radical Party has traditionally opposed closer ties with the EU due to its support for Kosovo's independence.
