German Defense Minister Wants to Up Afghan Deployment ... by the year's end.The military recently decided to buy 15 armoured Dingo 2 vehicles and 15 smaller Iveco MLV armoured vehicles, for about one billion crowns altogether.The supplier has been chosen without a tender. Ministry representatives justify this by the "urgent" need to provide the vehicles for Czech soldiers in foreign missions, particularly in Afghanistan.It has not yet been decided whether the 110 vehicles will be of the same type.Stanek said the military could receive the first vehicles in 2010.($1=17.509 crowns)
