The Russian foreign ministry has sharply criticised neighbouring Ukraine for its stance over the war in Georgia and its treatment of ethnic Russians.
In a statement, Moscow said Kiev's pro-Western leadership was pursuing policies unfriendly towards Russia. The foreign ministry accused Ukraine of helping to arm Georgia and criticised its decision to restrict the Russian Black Sea fleet. Moscow said the recent actions could negatively affect its relations with Kiev.
