Rome diocese bars Da Vinci Code prequel ... it may have to start cancelling flights due to difficulties in purchasing fuel. That's according to a statement released by Alitalia's government-appointed administrator, Augusto Fantozzi.
He has said that he would have no choice but to close down the airline unless trade unions agree to a takeover by a group of Italian investors. The unions have so far opposed the terms of the takeover plan, which would mean lower pay and the loss of thousands of jobs. Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi is reported to have returned to Rome from southern Italy for last-ditch talks aimed at saving the airline.
