In Sunday's Bundesliga matches Hanover have beaten newly-promoted Borussia Mönchengladbach 5-1 to move off the bottom of the league. Ruhr valley club Bochum also picked up a first league victory with a 2-0 win against Arminia Bielefeld.
The result leaves Bielefeld second last with two points, one ahead of bottom-club Energie Cottbus.
