Yemeni officials says sixteen people have been killed in a car-bomb attack outside the US embassy in the capital Sana'a.
The interior ministry said in a statement that the toll included six Yemeni soldiers, six terrorist attackers and four civilians, including an Indian national. The US embassy said none of its staff had been hurt in the attack. A group calling itself Islamic Jihad in Yemen claimed responsibility for the bombing and threatened attacks on other embassies including those of Britain, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
