18.09.2008 - Ferguson stays upbeat after draw

Manager Sir Alex Ferguson insisted that Manchester United will soon return to form following their goalless draw with Villarreal in the Champions League.
Having collected just one win and four goals in six games, United face Premier League leaders Chelsea on Sunday.

"We are a bit short but the games will bring us on," Ferguson said.
"We will improve from now. We have a little bit to Chelsea look for Clarke exit deal ...
Liverpool close in on Keane deal ...
go yet. But once the sharpness of play comes, I am sure the goals will come as well."
It has been a lacklustre start to the season for the defending Premier League champions, losing to Liverpool last Saturday after drawing their first game against Newcastle - with their only victory coming away to Portsmouth.
They also drew 0-0 with Pompey in the Community Shield, while losing 2-1 to Zenit St Petersburg in the European Super Cup.
A stubborn Villarreal performance ensured United had few chances at Old Trafford, with their best effort coming from a Jonny Evans header against the post.
Ferguson was satisfied with his team's performance, particularly with Cristiano Ronaldo making his first appearance of the season as a second-half substitute.
However, with Ronaldo having spent two months recovering from surgery, the United boss revealed the Portuguese winger was unlikely to start against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Ferguson added: "That was his first game back so it is a big ask to think about Sunday.
"To come back like that, without a practice match or anything, the boy has done very well."
New signing Dimitar Berbatov is another doubt for the Red Devils at the weekend, having missed the European tie with a knee injury.
"Dimitar has a chance for Sunday but it is too early to say for certain," Ferguson said.
